Through the out of the box pillar, iMEdD undertakes to support the digitization of the personal journalistic archive of the journalist and Director of Kathimerini, Alexis Papachelas.
In the framework of this cooperation, the journalist’s archive of exceptional journalistic and research value, which he has collected over the last decades, will be organized, digitally archived, and exploited in the public interest, based on the principle of the dissemination of journalistic information for the benefit of journalism, scientific research and society in general.
It is a pioneering project that will contribute to the preservation and dissemination of data and events of great value that are part of modern history.
To achieve this objective, international standards and certified methods of recording, classification, and digital archiving will be followed, and the digitized material will then be integrated into an open platform through which the material will be accessible to all interested users.
In the course of this process, iMEdD will carry out workshops and other agreed actions, both within and outside its Pillars.
