The third cycle of iMEdD incubator is about to start

iMEdD – incubator for Media Education and Development, a non-profit organization founded in 2018 with the support of Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), launches its third round of the incubator.

The application process was open to journalists and media professionals as well as students from 01/01/2021 until January 31st at 23.59 and currently, we are at the second phase of the evaluation process (interviews by an independent high profile selection committee consisted of academics and professionals from Greece and abroad), which will be completed next week.

Stay tuned for the announcement of the projects that have been selected to take part at the 3rd cycle, by the end of March.

iMEdD’s incubator hosts profit and non-profit organizations as well as individuals and teams who wish to create an organization or implement a specific innovative project in the field of journalism. The projects could include, indicatively, an investigative piece, multimedia, documentary, an online platform, a mobile app, a podcast etc.

It aims at embracing the ideas of participants and offering them all the necessary tools, know-how and support to bring their ideas to life. Selected projects will be hosted for up to 9 months, starting right after the announcement of their selection.

More specifically, the incubator offers strategic advice and mentoring from local and international experts, networking opportunities with experts from Greece and abroad, access to workshops and events organized by iMEdD, fully equipped workspace and the necessary equipment and tools to bring ideas to life. For incubated organizations, consulting services for the launch and operations are also offered.

Our ultimate goal is for all teams to interact, building a very creative and innovative group of independent journalists and media professionals.
