SNF Nostos 2026: A Yearlong Celebration of 30 Years of Impact

In 2026, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) marks a major milestone: 30 years of philanthropic activity, partnerships, and progress. To celebrate three decades of working together for a better world, SNF is launching a yearlong series of commemorative actions—culminating in a weeklong, global celebration at SNF Nostos 2026, taking place June 21–28, 2026.

SNF Nostos will travel across Greece and connect with audiences worldwide to honor the partnerships that make the Foundation’s work possible. The celebration will highlight:

  • A human-centered approach to health care brought to life in collaboration with local communities, healthcare professionals, architects, and sustainability experts—and embodied in the SNF-supported public hospitals under construction in Thessaloniki, Komotini, and Sparta.
  • More than a decade of free medical care for remote communities in Greece, delivered through the Mobile Medical Units program by Regeneration & Progress.
  • The revival of the mountain village Vamvakou, powered by the grassroots efforts of the Vamvakou Revival team.
  • The critical role of independent journalism in supporting democracy, in partnership with iMEdD.

SNF Nostos will return to its iconic home at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) in Athens, a landmark made possible by SNF’s largest single grant to date. The week will feature the much-anticipated SNF Nostos Conference and SNF Dialogues, where conversations will replace empty rhetoric with thoughtful, nuanced perspectives.

Participants will also take part in the SNF Run, moving together for a meaningful cause, and enjoy lively concerts by internationally acclaimed artists, culminating in a dynamic DJ party that promises to end the week on a high note.
