iMEdD International Journalism Forum 2023

The International Journalism Forum, the initiative of iMEdD (incubator for Media Education and Development) for the annual meeting of the journalism community in Athens, will take place from 28 to 30 September at the Athens Epidaurus Festival, 260 Piraeus Street.

To participate, online registration at forum.imedd.org is required. Participation is free of charge and is open to media professionals and journalism students.

Following last year’s event, which hosted more than 1,000 participants, 120 speakers and 30 international organisations, the International Journalism Forum 2023 will present a series of talks, workshops and open discussions focusing on the journalism agenda across the world.

The three-day Forum will focus, among other things, on press freedom in different parts of the world; the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence; new methods and tools of data journalism; coverage of the climate crisis, corruption and war; and media independence through modern models of partnerships and innovative sustainability schemes.

Additionally, the Media Village will host independent media and journalistic organizations, which will present their work and vision through special sessions.

Special screenings, photography exhibitions and other activities complement the agenda, with the European Press Prize Community Event 2023 taking place once again within the framework of the Forum.

See through the official website of the event forum.imedd.org the detailed agenda, speakers and more information about the event.
