iMEdD is launching a new cycle of its Incubator for Local Journalism and invites journalists from across Greece to apply.
If you work in local media and have an idea for a story or investigation, the new cycle of the program begins on February 9.
The Incubator is designed to support journalistic research and the production of public-interest projects, creating space for stories that start locally and have the potential to grow and reach a wider audience.
It offers a meaningful opportunity for local journalists based outside Athens who wish to explore issues of transparency and accountability and further develop their ideas. Whether a project is still at the idea stage or already at a more advanced phase of implementation, the Incubator provides a comprehensive support framework — from research to production — as well as opportunities to collaborate with specialized professionals, depending on the needs of each project.
Who can apply
- Journalists (staff, freelancers, or unemployed)
- Teams of journalists
Teams may consist of journalists from the same city or from different regions, working across different media outlets.
Priority will be given to cross-regional collaborations and teams made up of journalists from different media organizations.
