Internship Opportunities

1 Position – Programs

Become part of iMEdD’s Programs team and contribute to the design and implementation of innovative initiatives supporting journalists and media professionals worldwide, under the supervision of the Director of Programs and Strategy.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Students or recent graduates in journalism, media, communications, or humanities
  • Individuals with a strong interest in investigative journalism, innovation in research methods and tools, emerging technologies, and AI
  • Strong communicators with excellent organizational skills
  • Fluent in Greek and English, both written and spoken
  • Familiar with project management tools

1 Position – Finance Department

Join the team that keeps iMEdD running smoothly behind the scenes. Τhe Finance Department manages a broad range of responsibilities, including the daily monitoring of financial transactions and operating expenses. It plays a crucial role in the organization by delivering timely and accurate information through financial data analysis and report preparation. The department is also responsible for budgeting, budget tracking, evaluation, and financial reporting.

You will actively engage in tasks such as collecting, processing, and analyzing numerical data, preparing financial reports and presentations, monitoring and comparing budgets against actual expenditures (budget vs. actuals) and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities.

What we’re looking for:

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, charting)
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Attention to detail and a high level of organization
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both written and spoken
  • Basic understanding of financial analysis or accounting principles is a plus

What you need to know

  • The Stavros Niarchos Foundation’s (SNF) call for the Fall–Winter internship cycle (October 1st, 2025–January 30, 2026) is open for a total of 38 positions.
  • Applicants should submit their application online by July 16.
  • If you have applied in a previous cycle and were not selected, you are welcome to apply again.
  • You may apply for up to 3 internships (out of 38 offered) in order of preference.
  • All travel and accommodation expenses as well as potential work permit and visa logistics are the responsibility of the intern.
