Be An Intern at iMEdD – Applications Open Until January 19

Applications are now open for a paid 4-month internship position at iMEdD as part of the Spring–Summer 2026 cycle of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Internship Program. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience and contribute to meaningful projects within an organization dedicated to supporting journalism and media professionals worldwide.

1 position – Programs

The intern will be integrated into and work closely with the editorial team of the Programs Department. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in editorial production, including stories, resources and tools, focused on all about journalism and what is relevant, useful or insightful for the journalistic community.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Ideal candidates will be students or recent graduates in journalism, media, communications, humanities, and digital humanities, with a strong interest in investigative journalism, innovation in research methods and tools, emerging technologies, data-driven storytelling and artificial intelligence.
  • Strong interest in developing storytelling skills is required.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential, as the role involves collaboration with a wide network of partners.
  • Fluency in both English and Greek, written and spoken, is required.
  • Familiarity with online and digital tools is expected.

  • The Stavros Niarchos Foundation’s (SNF) call for the Spring–Summer internship cycle (April 1 – July 31, 2026) is open for a total of 37 positions.
  • Applicants should submit their application online by January 19.
  • If you have applied in a previous cycle and were not selected, you are welcome to apply again.
  • You may apply for up to 3 internships (out of 37 offered) in order of preference.
  • All travel and accommodation expenses as well as potential work permit and visa logistics are the responsibility of the intern.
  • You will be notified of the outcome of your application on March 2, 2026.
